Sugar Mommy's originated in my house in 2012. I made cake pops for my daughters first birthday as party favors, and this is where the fun started. My phone rang a few days later and I needed a plan.
When my husband and I were discussing possible business names......he joked and said I was going to be his "Sugar Mommy", and it stuck! Within the next week, I had a DBA, a business checking account and a Facebook page. My family and I had no idea that my little hobby would take off into a full business. It was a long, tiresome 5 years but we did it. We have opened our first storefront in my hometown of Georgetown, TX. I couldn't be more proud to be a part of this wonderful community.
A little bit about me, my name is CJ Bedair and I'm the owner/operator. I was born and raised here in Georgetown and I moved back as soon as I could after college. I have a degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Houston, and spent 12 years as a graphic designer before making my first cake pop. After 3 years of working two full time jobs, it was time to make a choice. I made the right one.
My irony is that I've been a type 1 diabetic since high school! People ask me how I don't eat everything I make, well.........I can't! I can't even lick the spoon! That's ok though, more for you. ;)
